Common Questions

When can I sign up, and when will my coverage start?

You can sign up today. Coverage will start the first of the following month or the month that you select. If you don’t enroll before the 20th of the month the coverage will start the following month.

For example, if you enroll January 19th you would qualify for a February 1 effective date. If you enroll January 21st, you will qualify for a March 1 effective date or a later month of your choice.

Does this plan cover my medical conditions I have previously dealt with?

Yes. If you are currently under the care of a physician or undergoing treatment for an existing condition, you may still join the plan. If the ACA Major Medical plan covers the treatment, it will be covered by the InPocket Plan.

Is this plan a guaranteed issue or do I have to answer health questions?

This plan is guaranteed issue, and there are no health questions.

Does it matter which insurance company I have?

As long as you have a comprehensive ACA Major Medical plan, the InPocket Plan will pay off the EOB of your plan and pay directly to the provider, so you are not required to submit claims information. However, if you forget to show them your second ID card, they won’t know how to send us the bill and you may have to help connect us then.

How much will you pay on my behalf?

The InPocket Plan payment amount depends on the plan you select.

How can I pay?

Automated electronic payments are accepted by credit card, debit card, or ACH bank draft. Payments can be drafted monthly, quarterly, or annually.

How do I enroll?

Enrollment is only handled electronically. You can enroll on our site by clicking this Enroll Now link or you can call one of the many agents across the country that are promoting this plan.

Can I buy this plan for my child?

Yes, you can purchase this plan for yourself, your children, and/or your spouse.

Does the plan benefit reset every year?

Yes, you will receive the benefits according to the plan you selected. The InPocket Plan provides one benefit amount per year per covered person. So if you enroll for January 1st, your benefit will run through December 31st. Your plan will automatically renew the following January and your benefit will reset.

Who is this plan underwritten by?

The InPocket Plan is underwritten by two A-rated carriers. Depending on your state, the plan may be underwritten by Standard Life and Accident Insurance Company or AmFirst Insurance Company.
